Description :

Servicing the 30,000 personnel of the Country Fire Authority, Rural Ambulance Victoria and the Victoria State Emergency Service, EAS has replaced a variety of outdated systems to provide a guaranteed method of emergency message delivery to all populated areas of Victoria. This is an eight-year design, construct, operate and maintain (DC & OM) awarded in June, 2004.

Challenges included obtaining access and managing the logistics to remote transmitter sites in the short time available for system construction. The network is now fully operational, coming into service prior to the 2006 / 2007 bushfire season.
