Features and Benefits : Install highly reliable transmission network on existing 110km/h highway - Sydney's busiest commuter corridor to the west - carrying over 160,000 vehicles per day. In this environment, lay more than 150 kilometres of multi-core fibre-optic cable to enable communications between the RTA control centre and information devices.

Description :
Design and provide digital fibre-optic communications backbone for connectivity between all devices (e.g. electronic signboards, CCTV cameras, traffic movement sensors) on Sydney's 40 kilometre M4 motorway and the RTA's central control centre. Completed network incorporated provision for future systems expansion. Zero safety incidents despite potentially dangerous working conditions. LSE awarded seven-year network maintenance contract.
